Crab pots are big boxes or cylinders of mesh and metal complete with one way tunnels for crabs to enter. They are used on piers, from recreational boats, and by the commercial crab fishery to catch crabs. They are extremely effective, but are somewhat expensive, heavy, and require long soak times. In many situations, there is no substitute for the crab pot. |
